Washington, DC
The nation's capital honors the American heroes of World War II with an extraordinary array of memorials. Washington Photo Safari, DC area's largest provider of photography training field excursions, now offers an opportunity to capture the real meaning of these memorials inside your camera. Beginning with the newly inaugurated World War II Memorial on the National Mall, this photo Safari then goes on to do close-up work on the famous naval battles of World War II carved in bronze inlays at the Navy Memorial on Pennsylvania Avenue, and we end up at the Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial in Arlington which depicts the flag-raising on Mt Suribachi made famous by Joe Rosenthal's classic photograph. From there we also get a magnificent view of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and the US Capitol, all neatly aligned in your camera viewfinder. Professional photographer E. David Luria provides tips on composition, exposure, lighting, and informal outdoor portraiture.
Washington Photo Safari uses the beautiful landmarks of the nation's capital to provide multilingual instruction in landmark and travel photography.
